Almost 50 chambers of commerce across northern Ohio nominated a person from their chamber as their “Bright Star,” to recognize a chamber member who has “made a significant impact on the chamber through membership, retention, sponsorship, economic development, operations and/or education.”
Olmsted’s nominee was Marie Grosh who joined the Olmsted Chamber of Commerce Board of Trustees in 2011 and immediately began taking on responsibilities. She joined the membership committee where she works hard to actively recruit new members. She also joined the marketing committee where she led the group through the process of adopting a new logo, worked to establish content for our Chamber’s community magazine, and navigated the creation and acquisition of Chamber marketing materials for display and distribution at community events. Additionally, Marie doesn’t hesitate to volunteer when help is needed at luncheons, events, etc. She’s the first one to step up when there’s a job to be done.
