Olmsted Chamber is now a part of the “Power of More”

Launched in 2010, four Northeast Ohio chambers joined forces in a promotional program called the “Power of More”. The goal of the program is to draw new members and help existing members develop new business contacts with members of other chambers.  This is done in part by having “Power of More” luncheons and business after hours events. These events draw members from all participating chambers.

At such events, members fill out an entry form for a variety of prizes. The more events a member attends the more free chances one has of winning (There are many prizes, the grand prize this year is an outdoor kitchen!!). While the prizes are nice, the real benefit for members is the opportunity to build relationships with other business owners from other chambers.

Our board decided that our chamber will be a participant in this program for 2013.  We are excited about what this will do for our chamber and its members. With our participation we are expecting an increase in membership, an opportunity to attend additional networking events, as well as host a few; we are also expecting greater attendance at our after hours events and annual golf outing.

To make this new venture successful; on behalf of the board, I ask that our members attend events as they are able and to please bring guests (guests are eligible for prizes too, just not the grand prizes so this may be an initiative for them to join our chamber).

POM participants are: Fairview Park, North Coast (Avon, Avon Lake, Sheffield and Sheffield Lake), North Olmsted, West Shore (Westlake and Bay Village) North Ridgeville and Olmsted Chambers.

January Luncheon at Tony K’s

June’s Luncheon is Joint on THURSDAY June 21

June’s Luncheon will be a picnic hosted by the North Olmsted Chamber of Commerce at the Frostville Museum.

Other Chambers invited are Fairview Park and West Shore and North Coast.

This picnic is networking only and with five Chambers participating it is sure to be a great opportunity to find new contacts.  We hope to see you there!!

Olmsted Chamber Golf Outing – August 30th

Join us for the 9th Annual Olmsted Chamber Golf Outing at Creekwood Golf Course, Columbia Station, on Thursday, August 30, 2012. Proceeds from the outing will benefit the Olmsted Scholarship Fund.

Relay for Life Fundraiser

Falls PC Clinic is hosting a Fundraiser for the Olmsted Falls Relay for Life.

                SATURDAY APRIL  28, 2012 – 6:00 pm – 9:00pm

Come join us for a night of fun and festivities at FAT LITTLE BUDDIES.  Help us raise some money for a great cause.  The ticket cost is $20/person and will include pizza, wings, draft beer, wine and soft drinks.  We have a few nice baskets to win (including booze,wine,and gift cards), 50/50 raffle and side boards.  There will be an awesome band following our fundraiser.
