Almost 50 chambers of commerce across northern Ohio nominated a person from their chamber as their “Bright Star,” to recognize a chamber member who has “made a significant impact on the chamber through membership, retention, sponsorship, economic development, operations and/or education.”  

Olmsted’s nominee was Marie Grosh who joined the Olmsted Chamber of Commerce Board of Trustees in 2011 and immediately began taking on responsibilities.  She joined the membership committee where she works hard to actively recruit new members.  She also joined the marketing committee where she led the group through the process of adopting a new logo, worked to establish content for our Chamber’s community magazine, and navigated the creation and acquisition of Chamber marketing materials for display and distribution at community events.  Additionally, Marie doesn’t hesitate to volunteer when help is needed at luncheons, events, etc.  She’s the first one to step up when there’s a job to be done.  

When you see Marie please take a moment to thank her for her hard work and dedication to our Chamber of Commerce.

Our Chamber office (at Monin Insurance on Bagley Road) has a huge supply of this publication.  If you have a business location where customers come, I encourage you to stop by the office and grab a supply for your workplace. Additionally, if your business plans on attending any kind of business event or fair, please take a supply of the magazines for distribution.  Help the Olmsted Chamber reach as many people as possible!

Saturday, November 5th from 11am to 1pm. There will be cake, ice cream, balloons, demonstrations by trainers (training a person from the crowd!, training a kitten, a dog that was trained for Schutzhund), a local author of a children’s series about dogs, a raffle for a local rescue and kittens available for adoption from a shelter, and more. Hope everyone can attend this one and hopefully Fox 8 News will be back again for this event!
