    Do you put up a frightful and spooktacular display for Halloween? Enter the Olmsted Chamber's Fright Fight Halloween Decorating Competition!

    Olmsted Falls & Olmsted Township residents and businesses can enter for the chance to win a cash prize, a trophy, recognition on the chamber's website and social media, and most importantly - BRAGGING RIGHTS! If you think you've got what it takes to be the spookiest spot in Olmsted, then register today!

    Registration is open through Friday, October 10, and homes/businesses must be decorated and ready for voting by Saturday, October 11. A driving map of all the contestants will be posted by 6pm on October 11, and the general public will have from October 11-26 to tour all of them and vote for their favorites via an online poll. Voting closes at 11:59pm on October 26.

    There is no cost to enter the contest, so submit your petrifying photos and sign up by October 10!

    Cash Prizes:

    1st Place - $150
    2nd Place - $100
    3rd Place - $50


    Winners also get a spooktacular Halloween themed trophy to keep! All winners will be selected by the general public via online poll.

    Homes/businesses must be located in Olmsted Falls or Olmsted Township to participate in the contest.

    Please note that all submissions will go through an initial review process by a panel of judges and only those selected as finalists will be included in the competition. Interested contestants must submit a photo or video of their display to admin@olmstedchamber.org for the initial round of judging upon signing up for the contest but no later than October 5.

    Those selected to be part of the competition will need to send one photo that captures their full display to be used for the online voting platform.

    About the Speaker:

    With more than 20 years of experience, Dorinda A Byers possesses a proven track record of increasing organizational effectiveness, shaping cultures, strengthening teams, and positioning clients for sustainability and growth. Dorinda’s diverse employment background includes workforce, outreach, sales, and economic development in community colleges, manufacturing, and universities. Dorinda holds a Master's degree from Muskingum University and a Bachelor's from Ohio State and is a Business Development Consultant at the Ohio Auditor of State where she leads business development and marketing for various AOS business lines, including: Ohio Performance Team, Local Government Services, Uniform Accounting Network, Special Investigations Unit, AOS Training, Open Government Unit and other customer facing AOS divisions.  She loves to cook, read, walk, travel, and spend time with her husband and spoil her nieces and nephews.  Ms. Byers has presented at more than 50 state conferences and at nationwide conferences.  She is known as a dynamic and engaging presenter and has been in the field of adult learning and training for more than 20 years.
